The Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI) was established in 1970 with a mandate to enhance industry capability and competitiveness, both locally and regionally. CARIRI's core business is to provide technological solutions and advice, and to source, adapt, and develop technologies for existing and new industries. At the functional level, this embodies three broad areas, as follows: Analytical and Engineering Services, the mainstay of which are Laboratory Testing Services, Research, Development and Innovation (RDI), and Consulting Services inclusive of training. CARIRI  is STOW-certified as well as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17025 accredited.
